DURAN DURAN will release twenty videos from as downloads on October 2nd. The releases will be available at all the major download stores but iTunes will offer an exclusive bundle with 2 extra rarities, 'A Day In the Life' and 'Liberty' (each featuring interviews and exclusive footage). ADAM ANT will support the publication of his autobiography 'Stand And Deliver' with a series of signing sessions in bookshops around the UK. See GIGS for a list of confirmed and unconfirmed appearances. The annual ADAM AND THE ANTS fan party 'Ant Lib Disco' has also been announced for November 4th at London's The Prodigal and will feature music, videos and VIP guests.

U2
are back in the studio starting work on a new studio album, the follow-up to 2004's 'How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb' and the sessions will also be used to record a cover version of THE SKIDS' 'The Saints Are Coming' alongside US rockers Green Day for a Hurricane Katrina fundraising album.

BONNIE TYLER
will play a special show at Cardiff's Hard Rock Cafe on October 18th as part of a special charity event raising money for the fight against breast cancer.

NEW ORDER's PETER HOOK is to write a book about the legendary Manchester club and venue The Hacienda which was partly financed by New Order until it closed in the early nineties. The working title for the book is 'How Not To Run A Club'.

REM are to reunite with original drummer BILL BERRY to play three songs at their induction into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in their native Atlanta on September 16th.

DEACON BLUE
's new single will be called 'Bigger Than Dynamite' and will be released??October 9th.

ULTRAVOX
's 'The New Frontier' has been reviewed in the

MICHAEL JACKSON
is thought to be reuniting with 'Thriller' director John Landis for his forthcoming comeback video. Landis has confirmed that he has been in talks with the star but no details about a new single or any release dates have been announced.

INXS have added an extra London show to their forthcoming European dates with the announcement of a third show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on November 7th. The band will release their new album 'Switch' here on October 16th. See GIGS for all the details.

MADONNA
, DAVID BOWIE, U2 and ROD STEWART have all donated cover versions of other artists' material to a compilation album, 'Under The Covers', to raise funds for medical charity the T.J. Martell Foundation and which will be released this week. Madonna's 'American Pie' will appear on the record, alongside 'Dancing In The Streets', David Bowie's 1985 duet with Mick Jagger, 'Everlasting Love' by U2 and 'Downtown Train' by Rod Stewart.

HALL AND OATES
have revealed more information about their forthcoming album of Christmas songs which will be titled 'Home For Christmas'. The album will see the Hall And Oates performing new versions of classic Christmas songs alongside two new songs written by the duo. See
