The seminal REM line-up are to reunite for a one-off show this month, when they will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall Of Fame.
?? | Michael Stipe, Mike Mills and Peter Buck will be joined at the ceremony by original drummer Bill Berry, who left the band just over a decade ago.
Since quitting REM in 1997 following a brain haemorrhage, Berry has appeared with the band just three times, at special, brief one-off occasions.
It's currently unknown what the band will play at the event, although manager Bertis Downs revealed they're "considering recording something for a yet-to-be-announced charitable project." |
REM will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall Of Fame on September 16, before commencing on their first new album since 2004's "Around The Sun".
"And I Feel Fine", a collection of early recordings, rarities and unreleased tracks, is released on Monday, September 12. |
