ULTRAVOX have announced a fourteen-date UK tour for September and October in support of their forthcoming new album 'Brilliant' which will be released on May 28th. Tickets are onsale now. MORE

ABC, HEAVEN 17, THE BEAT and THE SOUTH (the current incarnation of THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH) have been added to the bill of this year's Guilfest festival which runs from July 13th-15th, joining a bill that already features BRYAN FERRY, CHIC, GARY NUMAN, JOOLS HOLLAND, ROLAND GIFT and many, many others. PROPAGANDA's 1985 cassette-only release 'Do Well' - a five-track EP of alternate mixes of 'Duel' / 'Jewel' from their debut album 'A Secret Wish' - has been reissued as a digital EP via ZTT, MORE. Propaganda have also announced the tracklisting for their forthcoming reissue of 1985's remix album 'Wishful Thinking' which is scheduled for release on June 4th. The release will feature the original eight-track album expanded to include a further six bonus track, five of which are previously unreleased. MORE

DEPECHE MODE's DAVE GAHAN has said that the band expect to finish work on their new album by the end of this year and are already making plans to tour the currently untitled new release in 2013. Talking to Spin magazine in the US, the band's frontman revealed that the band are already working on around 20 demos... MORE

Former A-HA singer MORTEN HARKET has announced South American dates in September in support of his current solo album 'Out Of My Hands'. Harket will play shows in Brazil, Argentina and Chile??? MORE

HEAVEN 17 have announced two shows at Jersey's Opera House on August 24th and 25th. MORE

JOE JACKSON will release a new album on July 23rd. 'The Duke' is a tribute to Duke Ellington and features new versions of 15 of the jazz legend's classic numbers, with Jackson saying "I revere Duke Ellington, but I didn't want this to be a reverent album". Jackson - who will tour the album in the USA and Europe in September and October - has also pulled in a number of guests to appear on the album, including Iggy Pop, Steve Vai, Sharon Jones and members of The Roots. TALK TALK are to be celebrated by way of a special 2CD tribute album, the music for which is being supervised by RECOIL's ALAN WILDER. The thirty track album will be released via Fierce Panda on September 3rd. MORE

SPARKS have added four German shows to their upcoming 'Two Hands, One Mouth' tour. In addition to the UK shows already onsale the duo will play shows in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Bochum in October. More shows, elsewhere in Europe, are expected to be announced shortly. MORE

JOHN FOXX AND THE MATHS will play a low-key London show at Cargo on September 5th as a warm-up for their performance at Bestival on September 6th. The band have also announced that they are to release a live CD and DVD set 'Analogue Circuit' - filmed at London's Roundhouse in 2010 - at around the same time as well as a mini-album entitled 'Evidence' which promises 'new material, remixes and collaborations'??? RECOIL - former DEPECHE MODE mainman ALAN WILDER's longterm project - are to release a live film entitled 'A Strange Hour In Budapest' later this year and will be taking pre-orders from the beginning of June. MORE

THE HUMANS - TOYAH and REM drummer BILL RIEFLIN's project with Chris Wong and Igor Abuladze - have announced three intimate UK shows for July as the band prepare to start writing for their third album. The shows - in Birmingham, Derby and Manchester - promise songs from the band's first two albums 'We Are The Humans' and 'Sugar Rush' alongside some promised 'surprises'??? MORE

GARY NUMAN will headline this year's Shadowplay festival which will take place in Kortrijk, Belgium on July 15th. MORE

RICK ASTLEY, JIMMY SOMERVILLE, NIK KERSHAW, MIDGE URE, T'PAU, TOYAH, WANG CHUNG and DR & THE MEDICS are all on the bill for the Saturday night of Audley End's annual outdoor concert weekend in August. 'The Greatest 80's Party... Ever' will take place at the historic country house on August 4th. MORE

MICK HUCKNALL will play two solo show at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall on September 18th and 19th during which he will preview songs from his forthcoming solo album 'American Soul' which will see the former SIMPLY RED frontman put his own take on some of the classic songs that have influenced him throughout his life. JASON DONOVAN will return to the cast of Jeff Wayne's musical version of 'The War of The Worlds' when it embarks on its arena tour in December. Donovan has previously played the Artilleryman in the production but will return this year to take the part of Parson Nathaniel. MORE

JIMMY SOMERVILLE has posted audio previews of his forthcoming EP 'Solent', which will feature remixes from Fred Falke, Felix Gauder and John Winfield. The exact release date for 'Solent' is still to be confirmed but is expected to be in the next few weeks. MORE

THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS have announced a short run of UK dates in June and July around their previously announced appearance at the Hop Farm Festival on July 1st. MORE

TOYAH, DAVID VAN DAY and TENPOLE TUDOR's ED TUDOR POLE are all on the bill for the Decades Weekend festival which will take place in Workington over the weekend of May 25th-27th. MORE

MARI WILSON has announced shows in Newbury and Hertford this month as part of the promotion for her current album 'Cover Stories'. MORE

LEVEL 42 will play an October tour of the UK to mark 25 years since the release of their classic 'Running In The Family' album which is rumoured to be reissued to coincide with the shows. MORE
