TANITA TIKARAM will release a new studio album, 'Can't Go Back', on June 26th. The album tracklisting is still to be announced but is expected to include 'Dust On My Shoes', 'All Things You Do' (a collaboration with Grant Lee Phillips) and 'Keep It Real'. MORE

ADAM ANT has announced US dates for September and October, and a new UK tour for November. The US shows were originally scheduled for February but were postponed due to circumstances beyond the singers control and tickets for the original shows remain valid for the new dates. The 19 UK dates announced for November are under the banner of 'The Bluback Hussar Tour' but there is currently no news on the release of the much anticipated new Adam Ant album 'Adam Ant is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner's Daughter'. TOYAH has announced a second leg of her current 'Changeling Resurrection' tour which features a setlist revolving around her classic 1982 album 'The Changeling'. The new shows will take place between September and November and will finish with a return to Brighton's Concorde 2, where the tour began, which will feature a special extended set. You can hear a live version of Toyah's 'Castaways', recorded at London's Bush Hall on the first leg of the tour, by following the link... MORE

JOHN FOXX AND THE MATHS are among artists who have provided remixes for new version of Gazelle Twin's album 'The Entire City' which will be released on June 4th. John Foxx and The Maths have remixed 'Changelings' for the remix album, alongside work by Scanner, Maya Postepski and Bernholz. MORE

MARC ALMOND and COCTEAU TWINS singer ELIZABETH FRASER are among the artists confirmed for this year's Meltdown Festival - curated this year by Antony Hegarty of Antony & The Johnsons - which will take place at London's Southbank Centre between August 1st and 12th. MORE

DURAN DURAN are to appear at a special concert in London's Hyde Park on July 27th to mark the opening of this year's Olympic Games. The band will represent England at the show while the other bands on the bill - Snow Patrol, Stereophonics and Paolo Nutini - will represent Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland respectively. MORE

ULTRAVOX have revealed the artwork for their new album 'Brilliant' which will be released on May 28th. Frontman MIDGE URE has described the artwork as 'a scroll in the shape of a question mark'. The band have also made available a 30-second audio extract of the first single from the album - the title track 'Brilliant' - which you can hear on my website. MORE

DOLLAR singer THEREZA BAZAR will release a new single, in collaboration with Alan Connor, under the name TnA, 'Hold Me On The Dance Floor' will be released on May 24th and the single will feature remixes from Simon Sinfield, JRMX, Star Control and Marcus Shmitz. KYLIE MINOGUE will play a special headline show at the BBC's Proms In The Park in London on September 8th. The show will see Minogue backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra to celebrate her 25th anniversary in music with a unique set of orchestral versions of her classic hits. MORE

SISTER SLEDGE, INNER CITY, JOHN FOXX and ADAM ANT have all been added to the bill of Bestival which will take place on the Isle of Wight from September 6th to September 9th. The additions join a bill that already includes previously announced performances from NEW ORDER, GARY NUMAN and DE LA SOUL. MORE

CARMEL will see all six of her studio albums reissued in expanded editions over the course of this month. 'The Drum Is Everything', 'The Falling', 'Everybody's Got A Little Soul', 'Set Me Free', 'Good News' and 'World's Gone Crazy' are all reissued by Drumfire Records and include bonus material including remixes and b-sides. NEW ORDER will headline a new UK musical festival, 'Number 6', in Portmeirion in North Wales and gets its name from the cult TV series The Prisoner which was filmed in the town in the 1960s. Other bands on the bill include Primal Scream and Spriritualized. The band will also appear on the bill of this year's 'T In The Park' fsstival in Scotland alongside THE STONE ROSES and HAPPY MONDAYS among many others. MORE

PROPAGANDA will see their 1985 remix album 'Wishful Thinking' reissued in a special remastered collector's edition on June 4th, with five previously unreleased bonus tracks promised. MORE

The long-awaited new material from DALI'S CAR (the side project from BAUHAUS' PETER MURPHY and JAPAN's MICK KARN) has been released as a five-track EP entitled 'InGladAloneness'. The EP, Mick Karn's final project before his death last year, features a reworking of the duo's 'Artemis' as well as a version of Jacques Brel's 'If You Go Away'... MORE

THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS have announced a run of US dates between May and September, in addition to their appearance at the UK's Hop Farm Festival, including shows with THE GO-GOS, THE MOTELS and BOW WOW WOW??? MORE

CLAUDIA BRÜCKEN will release a live DVD entitled 'This Happened' later this year. The release - recorded at her 'Combined' solo show at London's Scala last year - will feature material from all stages of her career - including songs from PROPAGANDA and ACT - and will feature guest appearances from PROPAGANDA's SUSANNE FREYTAG and RALF DÖRPER, ERASURE's ANDY BELL and HEAVEN 17. BLANK & JONES will release a 2-CD SANDRA retrospective in Germany on April 27th (May 8th in the UK) as part of their SO80S series, featuring a total of 29 remixes, extended versions and rarities from 1984 to 1989. Then on May 11th they will release a new Sandra single, an homage to the 80s entitled 'Maybe Tonight', worldwide that will also feature HUBERT KAH on backing vocals. MORE

GARY NUMAN is to headline Guilfest's second stage on the Saturday night of the festival, while THE STRAITS, BUZZCOCKS and THE UNDERTONES also join the bill. The artists join a line-up that already includes BRYAN FERRY, CHIC, JOOLS HOLLAND and ROLAND GIFT. MORE

SIMPLY RED will release a classic concert, recorded back in 2003, on DVD and Blu-Ray on May 21st. The show, recorded in Switzerland, will feature 18 tracks, including some of the band's most iconic hits. MORE

NIK KERSHAW will release a new album, entitled '8', in the summer and will play the new material live on a special September tour that will also see him play his classic 'Human Racing' album in its entirety. MORE

IMAGINATION frontman LEEE JOHN has reissued his 2005 album 'Feel My Soul' in a new edition which includes a bonus DVD featuring interviews, photo galleries, live studio performances and bonus material. MORE

THE CURE and STING have both been confirmed as headliners at this year's Paleo Festival in Switzerland, with The Cure topping the bill on July 18th and Sting doing the same on July 19th. MORE

KOOL AND THE GANG, PETER HOOK AND THE LIGHT, GARY NUMAN and TANITA TIKARAM have all been added to the bill of this year's Hop Farm Festival which takes place in Kent between June 29th and July 1st. They join a packed bill that will also feature headline performances from PETER GABRIEL, THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS, THE STRANGLERS and BILLY OCEAN. MORE

SWING OUT SISTER will play a warm-up show at London's Islington Assembly Hall on July 14th as a warm-up for their appearance at Northamptonshire's Vintage Festival on July 15th. MORE
