HEAVEN 17 have announced a 30th anniversary tour for next year which will see the pioneering group perform their classic album 'Penthouse And Pavement' live for the very first time. The band have announced shows in the UK, Germany, Denmark and The Netherlands so far with more dates to be added. See GIGS for all the dates.

CYNDI LAUPER, DEBBIE HARRY and JOAN JETT have been immortalised as Barbie dolls, the first dolls in Mattel's new 'Ladies of the 80s' collection.

PET SHOP BOYS will release a seasonal EP entitled 'Christmas' on December 14th. The 5-track release will be available on CD and via download and features a new version of 'It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas' as its lead track, as well as two versions of their cover of MADNESS' classic 'My Girl', a medley of PSB's own 'Domino Dancing' with Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida' produced by Stuart Price and a new version of 'All Over The World' from the current PSB album 'Yes'. NIK KERSHAW will play a one-off solo show in Italy on November 21st at the Lian Club in Rome.

A-HA have added a third Oslo show to the end of their farewell tour next year. The band have already sold out two shows in the city of December 3rd and 4th and will now play at the same venue, Oslo's Spektrum, on December 2nd.

EURTHYMICS' DAVE STEWART is writing the score for 'Street Dancing' - a forthcoming 'against-all-odds movie set in the world of dance competitions in Singapore and New York'.

PAUL YOUNG, FISH, GRAHAM GOULDMAN and KIKI DEE will be among the artists performing with SPIKE EDNEY's SAS BAND at Poole's Lighthouse on December 17th with additional SAS Band shows scheduled at Southampton's The Brook on December 16th and Woking's Bisley Pavilion on December 19th.

THE ICICLE WORKS' 1990 album 'Permanent Damage' will be reissued by Cherry Red on November 23rd in an expanced package which also includes all the related single b-sides.

FLEETWOOD MAC's recent show at Dublin's O2 Arena has been reviewed in the REVIEWS section.

T'PAU singer CAROL DECKER is among a host of artists who have recorded a charity song to benefit wounded troops. The track 'We Will Remember Them' was released as a free download via iTunes on Sunday and on commercial CD this week. Other artists involved include MICA PARIS, ROBIN GIBB, PAUL RODGERS and former Atomic Kittens Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon.
