BOY GEORGE will headline the first of the HERE AND NOW outdoor Summer shows to be announced for 2009. The shows will also feature BANANARAMA, KID CREOLE AND THE COCONUTS, ABC, GO WEST, HAZEL O'CONNOR, CUTTING CREW, VISAGE, HOWARD JONES, NIK KERSHAW, ALTERED IMAGES and DR AND THE MEDICS. THE SPECIALS have announced the first dates for their long awaited reunion tour which will take place in April next year and will celebrate their 30th anniversary. At this stage the band will include Terry Hall, Neville Staple, Sir Horace Gentleman, Roddy Radiation, Lynval Golding and John Bradbury. Jerry Dammers is not confirmed for the line-up although he remains on friendly terms with the rest of the band. See GIGS for details.

MORRISSEY has announced three UK dates to mark the release of his new studio album 'Years of Refusal' which is set for a February 16th release date. The shows will take place in Manchester and London and includes a Manchester show on the singer's 50th birthday. See GIGS for the dates.

FLEETWOOD MAC have announced a greatest hits tour for 2009 with news of US dates in March. Dates elsewhere are expected to be announced at a later date. See GIGS for all the dates announced so far.

THE PRETENDERS have announced a massive US tour which will start in January and run through until March. The outing will be the band's first full tour since 2003 and will support their recently released album 'Break Up The Concrete'. See GIGS for details of all the dates announced so far.

BILLY OCEAN has extended his UK tour dates next year to thirty-nine shows around the country in January, February and March. See GIGS for all the dates.

ULTRAVOX's recently reissued expanded editions of their 'Vienna' and 'Rage In Eden' albums have been reviewed in the REVIEWS section.

KYLIE MINOGUE's collaboration with Coldplay, 'Lhuna', will be released as a charity download via (Red)Wire to raise money to combat HIV/AIDs in Africa.
