DURAN DURAN, ELTON JOHN and BRYAN FERRY have been announced among acts scheduled to appear on the bill of a special concert to mark the ten years since the death of Princess Diana. The concert which is being organised by Princes William and Harry will take place at the new Wembley Stadium in London on July 1st 2007.

SPANDAU BALLET
's anthem 'Gold' is being put forward as the new British national anthem by way of an online petition at the 10 Downing Street petition service. The petition calls for the song to be used at the UK-hosted Olympic Games in 2012 and goes on to request that 'we would like our National Olympic Committee to decree that Tony Hadley is the only person permitted to handle medal ceremonies where the National Anthem is played. We don't mind what he wears when he does this, but preference is given towards a a gold colured suit'. See

, T'PAU, MIDGE URE, BELINDA CARLISLE, TONY HADLEY, PAUL YOUNG, NICK HEYWARD, LIMAHL, THE WEATHER GIRLS and GLORIA GAYNOR are all on the bill of a special show celebrating ten years of concerts at Norfolk's Blickling Hall on July 14th next year.

OMD
are working on an audio/video art installation for Liverpool's FACT in March 2008. The recently reunited duo are working on the project - which has a working title of the Energy Suite - with graphic artist Peter Saville. OMD will then tour the Energy Suite music with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in Autumn 2008, the performances are also expected to feature songs from the OMD catalogue played by the band and orchestra.

HOWARD JONES
is taking pre-orders of his new album 'Piano Solos Volume 2' via his website with a shipping date of December 18th. The album will be available as a regular CD or as a 5.1 surround sound version and initial quantities will be autographed by Howard.

THE B-52s
are in the studio with NEW ORDER producer Steve Osbourne working on new material, their first since 1992 however there is currently no release date scheduled for the album which the band are describing as "Rock 'n Roll-Glam- Electro-Soul".

's NICK RHODES, DAVID BOWIE, BONO, ANNIE LENNOX, TEARS FOR FEARS, HOWARD JONES, MIDGE URE and PETER GABRIEL are among 44 stars who have signed a classic Fairlight CMI keyboard which is to be auctioned in support of Gabriel's human rights charity WITNESS. Bidding - on online auction site eBay - is already in excess of $100,000.

JASON DONOVAN has released a greatest hits compilation to tie-in with the Australian star's success on TV reality series 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here'. The album contains a selection of Donovan's seventeen UK hits alongside tracks from the soundtrack to his West End musical run in 'Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'.
