Later with Jools Holland

Fri 1 Jun, 11:35 pm??-??12:40 am 65mins

Website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/later/

Joining Jools on the fifth show of this series will be the very legendary The Who. Incredibly they will be making their debut on Later and perform just ahead of headlining this year's Glastonbury, Pete Townsend, Roger Daltrey and chums will be in the studio to perform classic tracks from their extraordinary back catalogue.
??
Kaiser Chiefs are no strangers to the Later studio, with members often popping down just to be in the audience. There'll be none of that this time though as the band will be storming through selections from their acclaimed second album, Yours Truly, Angry Mob.
??
Another band returning to the studio this week are The White Stripes. Back after a year of being a Raconteur (Jack) and modelling for Marc Jacobs (Meg), the duo have a brand new album, entitled Icky Thump, of which no doubt they'll be playing selections tonight, and a nice line in pearly king and queen suits too.
??
Hailing from Los Angeles, are Silversun Pick-Ups, who make their UK TV debut playing tracks from their debut album Carnavas.
??
Pink Martini are a 12-piece music band from Portland, Oregon. The band was formed by pianist Thomas M Lauderdale in 1994. They blend such diverse genres of music as latin, classical, and jazz, and will be in the studio to perform tunes from their new album Hey Eugene!

Tip:?? ??

'Me And My Imagination’ is set to be the first big dance track of the summer, and is taken from Sophie's third album 'Trip The Light Fantastic'. Referencing her Ibiza days in the sun, 'Me And My Imagination' is a winking disco trot powered by twirling violins and a dizzyingly house groove, which Sophie says is the track most easily reconciled with anything on her million selling??'Read My Lips'.
