Twenty selected photographs from the forthcoming photographic book "The Jam Unseen" will be on sale for the first time as a series of limited edition prints for a limited time only at London's The Movie Poster Gallery from Saturday 6th October to Saturday 20th October 2007. The exhibition will display rare never-before-seen photographs of the original Jam line-up - Bruce Foxton (bass, vocals), Paul Weller (vocals, guitar) and Rick Buckler (drums).??

The exhibition coincides with the 30th Anniversary of The Jam and when they originally signed to Polydor Records in 1977, and also follows the release of the photographic book "The Jam Unseen" published by Cyan Books on 6th August 2007.

The exhibition occurs one month before two-thirds of the original line-up of The Jam, Bruce Foxton (bass, vocals) and Rick Buckler (drums) embark on a nationwide UK tour under the moniker of "From The Jam: Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler".
??
The 20-date UK Autumn tour kicks off at the Plymouth Pavilions on 24th November, and takes in cities including Cardiff, Grimsby, Liverpool, Glenrothes, Preston, Leicester, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, Southampton, Norwich, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cambridge, Birmingham, and London.

The Cure's Robert Smith has confirmed that work is fully underway on a definitive DVD documentary to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the band's debut album, "Three Imaginary Boys".

Speaking to Billboard.com, Smith revealed that although the film would not be released until 2009, it would encompass an hour for every decade of The Cure's life.
??
He said: "This will include interviews with everybody who has ever been in the band, and everybody who has been an important part of The Cure."
??
Smith is also hoping to bring onboard the services of longtime Cure video director Tim Pope to assist with the as-yet-untitled project. He added: "Tim has been there from 1982 onward into the mid '90s. We've kept in touch and he's done some things with us since. People will react to him very well in an interview scenario."
??
Also in the pipeline for 2008 are expanded reissues of the vintage Cure albums "Disintegration" and "Wish", which Smith had to put on hold while finishing the band's as-yet-untitled forthcoming album.
??
"Disintegration" will feature a bonus disc of new remixes, while "Wish" should include a new 5.1 audio mix.
??
The Cure will tour Japan, Australia and North America later this year.

ADAM ANT is to play an acoustic set in London to launch the publication of the paperback edition of his autobiography 'Stand & Deliver'. The set will be punctuated by him reading extracts from the book and will take place on September 24th at the Bloomsbury Theatre.

DEBORAH HARRY will release her forthcoming solo album 'Necessary Evil' on September 17th preceded by a single 'Two Times Blue' on September 10th. See NEWS for the album tracklisting. Harry has also written a new track for a stage version of the film 'Desperately Seeking Susan' which will open at London's Novello Theatre in October. The production will also feature a number of classic BLONDIE hits including 'Heart of Glass', 'Atomic' and 'The Tide Is High'.

THE CURE are expected to release a new single as a download only in September in advance of their new studio album which will follow in October or November. The release is likely to be available as a limited-edition double album mixed by frontman ROBERT SMITH as well as a single disc album which is likely to be mixed by someone else for a full commercial release. The album will also feature three songs inspired by demos the band originally recorded in the 80s. See NEWS for track titles. Robert Smith has also started work on a DVD documentary about the band and is planning two reissued albums expanded with remixes and extra tracks. See NEWS for more details.

NEW ORDER are to carry on without founding member PETER HOOK who announced his departure from the band recently. BERNARD SUMNER and STEPHEN MORRIS have issued a joint statement to the effect that New Order will continue to exist.

SIOUXSIE SIOUX will release her first solo album 'Mantaray' on September 10th, preceded by a new single 'Into A Swan' on August 27th. See NEWS for the album tracklisting.

ANNIE LENNOX will release a new album 'Songs of Mass Destruction' in October and already named tracks include 'Fingernail Moon', 'Dark Road' and 'Sing', the latter inspired by her humanitarian work with Nelson Mandela's 46664 campaign and featuring contributions from 23 female artists including MADONNA, K D LANG and BONNIE RAITT.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN have added a second show to their annual hometown Christmas gig and will now play Liverpool's Academy on December 9th.

STEVEN DUFFY's 1986 album 'Designer Beatnik', released under the name DR CALCULUS, has been reissued as a download only featuring five bonus tracks... see NEWS for the full tracklisting.

THE B-52s and TALKING HEADS' frontman DAVID BYRNE have contributed tracks to a compilation of original songs from the past nine seasons of 'The Simpsons' entitled 'The Simpsons: Testify'. 'Everybody Hates Ned Flanders' features Byrne while the B-52's appear on 'Glove Slap'.

JOHN FOXX will release a special 2-CD edition version of his 1980 album 'Metamatic' on September 3rd. The release will feature the original album as well as the b-sides from all the singles and a number of previously unreleased tracks from the album sessions and John Foxx will embark on a short 'Metamatic Tour' in September and October, see GIGS for all the dates.
