An all new Sin Songs, Torch and Romance set performed and recorded in the most atmospheric venue of Marc Almond's career, Wilton's Music Hall, a genuine Victorian era music hall in London's East End. Within a selection of story telling songs that reflect the dramatic tradition of the venue, Marc Almond presents several new numbers exclusive to this release as well as a number of back catalogue classics and fan favourites. The two disc release contains both a DVD and CD of the concert. The DVD contains bonus footage
of a dress rehearsal featuring songs not included in the main show as well as an exclusive interview.

The DVD & CD set is released on Monday 27 October but can be ordered now from the Shop section of www.marcalmond.co.uk. All orders placed will also receive a copy of the official 16 page souvenir programme produced for the show.

Synth pop legends Pet Shop Boys will release a new single later this month on Kompakt Pop.

The track, called "I'm in Love with a German Film Star" isn't actually by the duo. Instead, it's produced by them with the artist and filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood taking top billing. Taylor-Wood, who has worked with the PSB's before on covers of Serge Gainsbourg and Donna Summer, has chosen an early '80s post-punk song by The Passions this time around.??

The original and symphonic versions that Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have undertaken are grand, with remixes by Gui Boratto, Jürgen Paape and Mark Reeder not being that shabby either.??

Curious about how this unique collaboration came to be,??they asked Neil Tennant how the Pet Shop Boys came to release on Cologne's finest record label:

"I became aware of Kompakt at the beginning of this decade and began collecting the Pop Ambient series. I really like good electronic music and Kompakt has an inspiring commitment to it with so many great artists like Markus Guentner, Dettinger, Michael Mayer, Superpitcher, Gui Boratto and many more. The label also has a very strong visual identity which I admire. It's very exciting for us to bring a track to Kompakt and have them commission remixes of it and release it."		????

Kompakt will release Sam Taylor-Wood's Pet Shop Boys-produced single I'm in Love with a German Film Star on October 27th on 12-inch, CD and on 7-inch. (The latter format will be available in a limited edition of 500.)

Björk??- Náttúra

Björk releases a new single “Náttúra” through One Little Indian on October 20. The single will be initially available on iTunes?? and in Iceland where it is available from www.nattura.info then everywhere digitally on October 27. All proceeds from the track will go towards the Nattura Campaign (www.nattura.info).

The single is now available and we have also setup donation page for the Náttúra Campaign.

The single was composed specifically to encourage active support for the Nattura campaign, which aims at collating and providing sustainable and eco-friendly options suitable for Iceland, and generating alternative ways to utilize it’s natural resources. People will be able to submit their ideas on the website for sustainable green workplaces for Icelanders. According to Björk, “It is now more important than ever before to emphasize a respect for nature???I believe that profits, technological advances and working together with nature can all go hand in hand. None need to be sacrificed at the expense of the others.”

The new single is written and produced by Björk and features Radiohead’s Thom Yorke on backing vocals, Brian Chippendale (Lighting Bolt) on drums, Matthew Herbert on synth/bass, and Mark Bell on additional electronic beats. Opening with a huge elemental swirl, “Nattura” then fires up an incendiary and fierce tribal rhythm. The song sees Björk firmly on the march in celebration of her homeland, in hopes that Icelanders harness its energy in a sustainable way.

Owngig.com are delighted to announce that due to phenomenal interest being registered in the Blow Monkeys, we are able to stage a one-off strictly private show with the band to celebrate the launch of their new album.

The gig will take place in London, at the old Devil's Tavern pub (now named the Prospect of Whitby) in Wapping Wall on Saturday 22nd November 2008 (see the official band site http://www.theblowmonkeys.com for confirmation). Ardent fans of the band will know that not only is the Devil's Tavern the name of their new album, but is also the venue where it all started for them back in 1981. It became the regular watering hole for their after rehearsal drinking sessions.

Some 27 years later this unique and celebratory evening will start from 8pm at the pub, oozing with history and character. The event will feature a number of special acoustic performances throughout various intimate rooms in the pub, to be followed by the main event - a full performance from the band who will take you through a specially selected set of tunes both past and present.

The rooms will be closed off to the public for the entire evening and the only other attendees will be selected journalists to cover the event for radio and press, as well as some special guests of the band.

Tickets are offered at a fixed price of £100, and will not only include your entrance to this one-off event but also transport to the venue from a central London location on a specially-commissioned Blow Monkeys double decker bus.

Further to this there is an exclusive commemorative package being offered to all those attending the show at a cost of £50 (this must be pre-purchased).

It includes the following:

- An exclusive recording of the evening's gig available for download after the event, and only available to those purchasing this package

- A Blow Monkeys limited edition "Devil's Tavern" T-shirt

- A photograph of you with the band on the night

- A previously unavailable recording on CD of "Animal Magic" and "Superfly" (a cover of Curtis Mayfield's track). These are exclusive live tracks from the band's 1986 concert at The Los Angeles Palace Theatre.

The package will be available for collection on the evening, except for the recording of the show and the photograph - both of which will be downloadable afterwards.

Please note that no cameras or recording equipment will be allowed at the venue.
