PS: Richard of www.remembertheeighties.com also wrote this:

"I have also done a brand new and EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with PROPAGANDA's CLAUDIA BRÜCKEN to mark the 25th Anniversary of one of my all time favourite albums, 'A Secret Wish' (which is reissued on Monday in a 2-CD edition with loads of bonus material, see
NEWS for the full tracklisting!) which is online for you now. It was an absolute pleasure to do and I managed to cover a lot of the questions you emailed over for me, and if you're a fan of Claudia, of Propaganda, or of OneTwo then it's well worth a read, even if I say so myself!"

22 Jul 2010 - Saint Etienne Update

??

NEW DELUXES

First up, the deluxe editions of Good Humor and Tales From Turnpike House are set for release on October 4th.
As ever, we have trawled basements, shoe cupboards, and lock-ups in Malmo for bonus tracks and different mixes. Aqualad (which was left off Finisterre due to a clerical error) will be on TFTH, as will the lovely Woodhenge.
??
SHOWS
Sorry that none of our summer shows - at Apple Cart or with the Scissor Sisters - happened. Sarah has been feeling under the weather for a little while, but is on the mend you'll be pleased to hear.
??
NEW TRACK
The next 'new' track you hear from us is a bit of an unusual one.
We've written the
theme tune (with Sarah singing) and scored a new children's cartoon series called Maryoku Yummy - kind of Teletubbies meets Spirited Away - which is going to be shown from October 10th on a new US channel The Hub - have a look at the Maryoku Yummy website where you can see (and hear) a few clips and play a few games.
??
REMIXES
Hope you've enjoyed our Drums remix.
Well, Pete has just done a remix for L.A. band Kisses which you can hear
here.
??
Oh, and we've also started writing our next album, which is lightly pencilled in for this time next year.
??
We're excited.
??
love Sarah, Bob and Pete xxx

Announcing... the definitive, deluxe edition of one of the 80s most inspiring albums, Propaganda's A Secret Wish, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Featuring the hit singles Duel, Dr. Mabuse and p:Machinery and produced by Trevor Horn and Steve Lipson, this is the album that inspired a generation of synthpop, dance and electronica.

This deluxe edition includes the original album plus all of the cassette/vinyl-only mixes on Disc One, complete with guest appearances from David Sylvian, Steve Howe and Glenn Gregory. Disc Two adds a wealth of bonus material including the complete, unexpurgated 20-minute cassette mix of Duel, Trevor Horn's previously unreleased Thousand Eyes... remix of Dr. Mabuse, a works-in-progress version of The Chase, and a previously unreleased 12" remix of Sorry For Laughing by Paul Morley.

Cited as a major inspiration by Depeche Mode's Martin Gore, Propaganda's A Secret Wish continues to send ripples through pop music. Some might know Dr. Mabuse as the first ever video by Anton Corbijn. Others the classic film soundtracks like Luc Besson's Subway (Murder of Love) and John Hughes' Some Kind of Wonderful (Dr. Mabuse). Pop fans might know Duel from the recent cover by Sophie Ellis-Bextor...

However you know it, get to know it again. A Secret Wish is catalogued at 11 in the element series, and is available to order now.

Release Date: July 19, 2010
