NEW ORDER and JOY DIVISION bassist PETER HOOK has announced a run of US dates which will see him play Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures' album in its entirety. See GIGS for all the dates. TEARS FOR FEARS' CURT SMITH will play a low-key solo show at Santa Monica's McCabe's on November 19th. MORRISSEY is to reissue his 1988 single 'Everyday Is Like Sunday' on September 27th to mark the release of a 20th anniversary version of his 'Bona Drag' compilation. BOY GEORGE and members of DURAN DURAN are special guests on 'Record Collection', the new album from producer Mark Ronson which is scheduled for release on September 30th. Boy George provides vocals on 'Somebody to Love Me', written by CATHY DENNIS, while SIMON LE BON joins the chorus on 'Record Collection' which also features keyboards from NICK RHODES. STATUS QUO will release a new version of their 1986 single 'In The Army Now' on September 26th to raise money for the charities Help For Heroes and British Forces Foundation. SOFT CELL's DAVE BALL has unveiled his new project, a band called Celine And Nite Wreckage, who release their first single 'Popabawa' on September 6th featuring programming from Ball and remixes from MARTIN RUSHENT. RECOIL are to take their 'A Strange Hour' tour to the USA, South America and Canada in October and November. The dates will coincide with the US release of Recoils 'Selected' compilation. The event will take place on October 10th at London's Shepherds Bush Empire. MICHAEL JACKSON will release the first in a series of posthumous albums in November, featuring ten tracks spanning recording sessions from the 80s to his death last year. JAKI GRAHAM's 1986 debut album 'Breaking Away' will be reissued on August 23rd. This special edition reissue will feature the original album plus five bonus tracks. TRACEY ULLMAN will release her entire Stiff Records recordings in a new 2-CD package due for release on September 20th. The set, entitled 'Move Over Darling', features 36 tracks, including the hits 'Breakaway', 'They Don't Know' and 'Move Over Darling' as well as extended versions and one previously unreleased track called 'Little Red Riding Hood'. ABC, OMD and NIK KERSHAW will all appear at a free German festival in Busum on August 21st, presented by radio station NDR2. JOHNNY MARR has written and recorded the themes song for a new Channel 4 TV sitcom, 'The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret', which will debut on October 1st. HOWARD JONES has announced six US and Canadian shows for October which will see him performing electronic sets as a three-piece band. See GIGS for all the dates. TEARS FOR FEARS, BLANCMANGE, HEAVEN 17, ELLIS BEGGS & HOWARD and JAPAN are among the artists represented on a new compilation album entitled 'Sidetracked' that has been curated by La Roux as a nod to some of the artists who have influenced them. The album also contains La Roux's version of the GODLEY & CREME hit 'Under Your Thumb'. MARTHA AND THE MUFFINS have released a new version of 'Echo Beach' to mark the 30th anniversary of the hit. The track is available to download along with a brand new song entitled 'Big Day'.
