GEORGE MICHAEL has finally announced the US leg of his '25 Live' tour which started in Europe last year. The twenty-one dates kick off in June. See GIGS for all the dates.

MORRISSEY will headline London's Wireless Festival in Hyde Park on July 4th. The show will be Morrissey's only UK festival appearance and the singer is promising to 'take Hyde Park like a flea inhabits a dog'...

NEW ORDER, BLANCMANGE, ULTRAVOX, PROPAGANDA, VISAGE, THE CURE, ABC and ADAM AND THE ANTS are among over fifty artists featured on a new 3-CD compilation album 'The Edge Of The 80s' dedicated to 'capturing the essence of the early 80s' and released on March 31st. DOLLAR's DAVID VAN DAY and THEREZA BAZAR have reunited with the original line-up of their former group Guys'N'Dolls for a number of TV shows in the Netherlands and a planned tour which will take place later this year.

KRAFTWERK's WOLFGANG FLEUR is set to collaborate with Irish electro-pop act Empire State Human on a track for their forthcoming ESH album 'Audio Gothic'. You can also see Empire State Human support THE GRID in Dublin on April 5th.

MARILYN is planning a reissue of his 1985 album 'Despite Straight Lines' expanded to include a number of bonus tracks and remixes.

ELVIS COSTELLO will release his new solo album on April 22nd as a vinyl record only. The release - entitled 'Momofuku' - will however ship with a code for a digital download version of the album although it won't be available on CD.

ERASURE singer ANDY BELL will play a live set at a handful of dates on CYNDI LAUPER's forthcoming True Colors tour. Bell will take time out from recording his new solo album to play the shows and will appear at the Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Alpine, LA and Berkeley shows. Meanwhile ERASURE's new live DVD will be premiered at London's L&G Film Festival at the NFT on April 4th.

REM will play a very special instore show at London's Apple shop on Regent Street this Wednesday March 26th.

TEARS FOR FEARS' CURT SMITH will release his new, much anticipated, solo album 'Halfway, Pleased' in May.

KID CREOLE AND THE COCONUTS are among the acts confirmed for a HERE AND NOW concert which is to take place at Hampshire's Rowlands Castle on July 20th. The rest of the bill will include CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT, LIMAHL, NICK HEYWARD, TOYAH, T'PAU and MIDGE URE.

A-HA have announced a special concert in Olso on May 20th featuring solo sets from Morten Harket and Magne F and a Savoy set. The show will take place at Oslo's Rockefeller Music Hall.
