ERASURE have released a special 3 disc edition of their album 'Hits! The Very Best Of Erasure' featuring two CDs - one containing twenty classic Erasure hits, the other featuring a Mark Towns megamix of eighteen of the band's tracks - and a DVD of thirty-five promotional videos.
SIMPLY RED will call it a day after twenty-five years according to frontman MICK HUCKNALL who has said the split will happen in 2009 after the promotion and touring for their current album 'Stay' is completed.

THE B-52s forthcoming album - their first for sixteen years - will called 'Funplex' and is scheduled for release in late February. The album will be preceded by a single and a track entitled 'Pump' is the band's current single choice. Other tracks on the album include 'Love In The Year 3000?', 'Deviant Ingredient' and 'Juliet Of The Spirits'.
ELVIS COSTELLO, OMD, CHINA CRISIS, DR AND THE MEDICS, SONIA and THE ICICLE WORKS have all recorded tracks for 'Covers & Collaborations' a forthcoming album celebrating Liverpool's status as the city with the most number one singles to its name. The album will come out in January and will feature cover versions of some of the city's 56 number one singles by some of the city's best known artists. GARY NUMAN has announced the dates of his Replicas Tour where he will perform his 'Replicas' album in its entireity as well as the singles, b-sides and bonus tracks from that period. FACTORY RECORDS is to be celebrated at a London clubnight on December 6th. The event will take place at Camden Town's Bar Monsta and promises a night of music from, or influenced by, Factory artists.
